NON-CONFERENCE CHAT GUIDELINES
Once you enter the chat room you are required to register by clicking on REGISTER found below LOGIN. This is a separate account from your forum login, though you can use the same username and password. Also, make sure you type your email correctly because the registration requires an email activation. Please remember your username and password. We do not keep these on file for you.
Other than Monday night mingling chats at 7pm EST, all other scheduled chats are moderated.
Before a chat begins you are free to mingle. Once the moderator asks for quiet she will post the rules again and the chat workshop begins with our guest.
To pose a question to the presenter you must place a ? and the moderator will put you in the queue. Once you've placed your ? begin to type your question and be ready when the moderator calls your name.
ex: Lea: ?
Do not throw questions or ask when your turn is coming up because this disrupts the workshop.
When you enter a chat after the scheduled time please refrain from saying hello to everyone. The same rule applies when you are leaving. Simply log out.
After each chat you are asked to log out instead of simply closing the page.
